Router Operator
📍 Basildon | Manufacturing Environment
We are looking for an experienced Router Operator to join our team at our Basildon manufacturing site. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a fast‑paced, precision‑driven environment, producing high‑quality components for demanding applications.
Working Hours- Monday - Thursday: 7.00am - 16.00pm
- Friday: 7.30am - 12.30pm

To independently operate the AXYZ router to cut aluminium sheet materials, ensuring programs are correctly loaded and all required offsets are accurately calculated and entered. While training will be provided, candidates with prior experience are desirable.
Main Duties- Maintain quality control throughout the manufacturing process in line with business requirements
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, lofts, and specifications
- Measure components using verniers and gauges
- Inspect and verify component compliance
- Ensure products meet customer quality standards
- Accurately complete all quality documentation to ensure full traceability
- Support and promote continuous improvement activities within manufacturing processes
- Work within cross‑functional teams to support business development, growth, and improvement projects
- Support, maintain and improve the Quality Management System, including participation in internal audits when required
- Work in accordance with AS9100 and ISO 9001 management systems
- Experience working with a range of materials and finishes
- Background in engineering production and machine operation (aerospace experience preferred)
- Experience in machining and/or fabrication preferred
- Basic IT skills, including use of Microsoft Excel and Word, and file management
- Strong problem‑solving skills
- High level of attention to detail
- Comfortable working as part of a team to meet daily targets
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Flexible and willing to work additional paid overtime when required
- Safety: work in line with all accredited company safety standards in order to provide a safe working environment for all
- Quality: support the quality accreditations across the business to ensure delivery of a 'right first time' performance
- Cost: support the continuous improvements in cost reduction activities across the company in order to deliver increased profitability and value for money to our customers and stakeholders
- Delivery: drive improvement in delivery performance to continually exceed customer expectations and targets
