Salary circa £38,000 depending on experience

Do you want to work in a state-of-the-art facility producing work for some of the biggest names in London? If so a major fit out company based in Basildon are looking to recruit a Bench Joiner to join their Specialist Projects Department and to be responsible for manufacture of joinery components for some of their most prestigious clients. If you are a time served Bench Joiner and have joinery qualifications, then we want to hear from you.

Duties:

Manufacture, assemble and prepare joinery components
Follow detailed production drawings/plans to exact specifications
Collate finished works and produce accurate labelling, prior to issuing to either the Spray Shop or Quality Control department
Maintain the high standards of quality set out by the integrated Management System
Assisting other departments within the factory when required
Assisting with manual handling when required
Be based at the factory in Basildon with occasional visits to other sites

Skills and Experience:

Previous experience as a Bench Joiner ideally time served
Joinery City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3 or similar in bench joinery
Must have a good attention to detail and a strong desire for accuracy
Must have experience of using light industrial woodworking machinery e.g. panel saw, planer/thicknesser, along with an understanding of producing shaped and profiled joinery components
Must be an effective communicator and able to work in a team
Good time management able to prioritise work
Flexible and self motivated

Up to £18.25 per hour depending on experience
Hours 8.00am to 5pm Monday to Friday + Overtime
25 days holiday plus bank holiday (3 to be used for Christmas shutdown)
