Role Overview :

We are seeking an experienced Technical Pre-Sales Consultant to support our sales function and act as a senior technical authority for both new and existing customer opportunities.

This role will work closely with Account Managers (AMs), Business Development Managers (BDMs), and internal delivery teams to design robust, secure, and commercially viable solutions. For high-profile and strategic accounts, the role will also provide Technical Design Authority (TDA) oversight, ensuring architectural consistency, risk management, and alignment with Arc Systems’ standards and service catalogue.

The successful candidate will have broad technical knowledge across the MSP stack, strong customer-facing skills, and the ability to translate business requirements into clear, supportable technical designs.

Key Responsibilities:

Pre-Sales & Sales Enablement
  • Partner with Account Managers and Business Development Managers to support new business acquisition and expansion within existing accounts.
  • Act as the technical authority during customer meetings, discovery sessions, workshops, and presentations.
  • Lead technical discovery to understand customer business drivers, risks, and compliance requirements.
  • Translate customer requirements into well-defined technical solutions aligned to Arc Systems’ services.
  • Present and articulate technical solutions clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Provide expert input into security, compliance, architecture, and operational considerations during the sales cycle.
Solution Architecture & Design

Design end-to-end MSP solutions including

  • Microsoft 365, Azure, and identity solutions
  • On-premises, hybrid, and cloud infrastructure
  • Networking, firewalls, connectivity, and secure access
  • Backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity
  • Cyber security solutions (e.g. EDR, MDR, SIEM, email security, vulnerability management)
  • Produce high-level and low-level solution designs, architecture diagrams, and supporting documentation.
  • Ensure solutions align with Arc Systems’ technical standards, service catalogue, tooling, and operational capability.
  • Balance technical excellence with cost, risk, scalability, and commercial objectives.
Technical Design Authority (TDA) – Strategic Accounts
  • Act as Technical Design Authority for high-profile and strategic customer accounts.
  • Own architectural consistency and design assurance across multiple solutions and projects within assigned accounts.
  • Review and approve technical designs to ensure:
    • Security, compliance, and resilience requirements are met
    • Solutions are deliverable, supportable, and scalable
    • Risks, assumptions, and dependencies are clearly defined
  • Provide guidance and escalation support to delivery and operational teams.
  • Contribute to technical governance, standards development, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Proposals, SoW & Commercial Support
  • Create and contribute to Statements of Work (SoWs), proposals, and technical sections of bids and tenders.
  • Define scope, assumptions, exclusions, and technical dependencies clearly and accurately.
  • Support pricing activities by estimating technical effort, licensing, and third-party services.
  • Assist with RFP and tender responses, ensuring technical accuracy and clarity.
Internal Collaboration & Handover
  • Work closely with Service Delivery, Projects / PMO, and Operations teams to ensure smooth transition from pre-sales to delivery.
  • Participate in internal solution reviews, governance forums, and handover sessions.
  • Ensure all solutions are fully documented and understood prior to implementation.
Vendor & Market Engagement
  • Maintain strong awareness of MSP technologies, industry trends, and best practices.
