Position: Senior Quality Assurance Engineer – Cards Acquiring (E2E)

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Quality Assurance Engineer with deep hands‑on experience across the Cards Acquiring end‑to‑end lifecycle. The ideal candidate will bring strong domain knowledge in merchant onboarding, authorizations, PoS device testing, clearing & settlement, and disputes/chargebacks. This role requires a proactive mindset, strong testing discipline, and the ability to collaborate effectively with international teams in a fast‑paced, regulated payments environment.

Responsibilities
  • End-to-End Cards Acquiring Testing
    • Lead and execute comprehensive E2E testing across the Cards Acquiring domain.
    • Validate merchant onboarding workflows, including:
      • Front‑end onboarding journeys
      • AML/KYC validation processes
      • Fraud rules verification
    • Perform detailed testing of authorisation processing, including working with ISO 8583 messages across different transaction flows.
    • Conduct functional and regression testing on PoS devices (PAX, Clover, or equivalent terminals).
    • Validate clearing and settlement processes, including:
      • Backend file validation
      • Transaction matching and reconciliation
      • Fee and charge calculations
    • Manage testing scenarios related to disputes and chargebacks, ensuring accurate impact assessment for both acquirers and issuers.
  • Testing Strategy & Methodology
    • Drive and uphold strong QA processes, best practices, and documentation standards.
    • Apply risk‑based testing principles to prioritise coverage effectively in complex payment ecosystems.
    • Develop detailed test plans, test cases, and defect reports ensuring traceability to business and technical requirements.
    • Perform root‑cause analysis and support defect triage with engineering and product teams.
    • Contribute to continuous improvement of testing frameworks, tools, and automation strategy.
  • Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
    • Work closely with global engineering, product, compliance, and operations teams to ensure high‑quality delivery.
    • Participate in Agile ceremonies and promote a quality‑first mindset across the development lifecycle.
    • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior QA team members.
Essential Skills
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to card payments (PCI‑DSS, AML, etc.).
  • Solid understanding of QA methodologies, risk‑based testing, and SDLC.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Exposure to Cards Issuing functionalities.
Experience
  • Strong hands‑on experience in Cards Acquiring systems and payment processing.
  • Experience collaborating with multi‑country or global delivery teams.
  • Experience with test automation frameworks or performance testing tools.
  • Proven experience testing:
    • Merchant onboarding workflows
    • PoS devices (PAX, Clover, or similar)
    • ISO 8583 authorization flows
    • Clearing & settlement backend processes
    • Disputes and chargebacks
