Teacher Active is working closely with a welcoming and supportive SEND school in Basildon, and we are looking to appoint a dedicated SEND Teacher to join their team full time, starting as soon as possible on a long-term basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate teacher who is committed to making a real difference to pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including ASD, ADHD, SEMH and complex needs.

The Role:

Planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual learning needs

Creating a safe, inclusive and nurturing learning environment

Working closely with support staff, SENCOs and external professionals

Monitoring progress and adapting teaching strategies accordingly

Building strong, positive relationships with pupils and staff

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent teaching qualification

Experience teaching children with SEND (school or specialist setting experience desirable)

A calm, patient and empathetic approach

Strong classroom management and communication skills

A genuine passion for inclusive education
