I’m Dan, and I’ve been working closely with primary schools for the past two years, supporting them with their recruitment needs. I’m currently working with a number of schools in Basildon who are looking for flexible Teaching Assistants to provide classroom support across EYFS, KS1, and KS2. This role suits anyone looking for day-to-day, short-term, or ongoing work, depending on availability.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils either one-to-one or in small groups, assist the class teacher during lessons, and help create a positive and inclusive classroom environment. You may also provide general classroom support and help manage behaviour in line with school policies. Working hours are typically 8:30am to 3:30pm.

The successful Teaching Assistant will have:

Experience working with children in a school or educational setting

A calm, patient, and supportive approach

Confidence supporting learning and behaviour in the classroom

The ability to adapt quickly to new schools and routines

A reliable and professional attitude

An enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to apply for one
