Asbestos Surveyor
Location:
Basildon, Essex
Salary/Benefits: £26k - £43k + Training & Benefits
Our client is a UKAS accredited firm, with a national presence and growing client porfolio in the South East of England. They are seeking an Asbestos Surveyor to cover a range of commercial and residential contracts. Our client is also able to consider candidates who also hold analytical experience and associated qualifications, however, the company is able to provide training in this area.
The ideal candidate will be able to hit the ground running and will have a proven track record within the industry. Salaries on offer are competitive and benefits include: training, overtime opportunities and company vehicle.

Basildon, Billericay, Southend-on-Sea, Canvey Island, Wickford, South Woodham Ferrers, Maldon, Chelmsford, Witham, Braintree, Colchester, Grays, Tilbury, Romford, Hornchurch, Ilford, Enfield, Epping, Harlow, Bishop’s Stortford, Cheshunt, Barnet, Potters Bar, Welwyn Garden City, Hitchin, Halstead, Sudbury, Haverhill, Saffron Walden.
Experience /
Qualifications:
* Experience working as an Asbestos Surveyor and will hold the P402 (or RSPH equivalent)
* It would be advantageous to have experience working as an Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst, and will hold the BOHS P403 and P404 (or RSPH equivalent)
* Good working knowledge of HSG 264 and HSG 248 guidelines
* Flexible to travel in line with company requirements
* Good literacy and numeracy skills
* Proficient using IT software
The Role:
* Undertaking management, refurbishment and demolition asbestos surveys across commercial and residential premises
* Carrying out re-inspection surveys
* Collecting ACM samples from site
* Producing site-specific technical reports
* Working to set deadlines and project scope
* Undertaking analytical duties, including: 4 stage clearances and full air monitoring duties
* Maintaining high standards of work
* Fostering strong relationships with clients
