Estimator - Fit- and works

Position: Estimator - Fit-out and small works (Permanent)
We are working with a small/medium sized building contractor specialising in London and South-East commercial office fit-out projects ranging in value from £50k to £5m.

Due to increased workload, they are looking for an Estimator to join their close-knit team and play an important role in pricing and securing upcoming projects.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates with key clients across a range of fit-out and refurbishment projects, working closely with the construction director and site teams.

Key responsibilities include:

* Preparing detailed cost estimates and take-offs from drawings and specifications

* Pricing subcontractor and supplier quotes

* Reviewing plans, scopes, and contract documents

* Identifying risks, value-engineering opportunities, and cost savings

* Assisting with tender submissions and variations

* Maintaining pricing databases and supplier relationships

About You

* Previous experience as an Estimator (ideally in fit-out, refurbishment, or small works)

* Strong understanding of building methods and materials

* Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications

* Well organised with good attention to detail

* Comfortable working in a small team and taking ownership of your work

* Proficient in estimating software and Excel (or similar tools)
