Job Title: Asbestos Surveyor

Location: Basildon, Essex

Salary & Benefits: £25k - £42k + training & benefits (overtime, pension scheme, company vehicle among usual perks)

We are recruiting a qualified Asbestos Surveyor who can hit the ground running, with a proven track record within the industry. The company is UKAS accredited and has a growing presence across the UK, offering great opportunities for training and progression.

Ideal Location(s): Basildon, Wickford, South Benfleet, Canvey Island, Hockley, South Woodham Ferrers, Chelmsford, Billericay, Hornchurch, Romford, Rainham, Barking, Ilford, Chigwell, Harlow, Enfield, Southend‑on‑Sea, Maldon, Grays, Tilbury, Erith, Dartford, Gravesend, Sidcup, Bromley, Orpington, Croydon.

• Must hold BOHS P402 (or RSPH equivalent)
• Proven track record as an Asbestos Surveyor
• Experience with a UKAS accredited company
• Robust technical knowledge, including HSG 264 guidelines
• Experience working across a variety of client sites
• Good literacy, numeracy and IT skills

• Conduct mainly pre-demolition surveys, plus some management and refurbishment surveys
• Collect ACM samples from site for analysis
• Produce detailed survey reports and schematic drawings
• Provide detailed technical advice and updates to clients
• Adhere to strict health and safety guidelines
• Work to agreed deadlines and personal targets
• Represent the company professionally
• Keep up-to-date with industry guidelines
