Quantity Surveyor - Joinery Specialist

Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor who will manage all aspects of quantity surveying related to joinery projects. The ideal candidate should have a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and a passion for ensuring project efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare, manage, and oversee cost estimations, budgets, and financial reports for joinery projects
  • Conduct detailed cost analysis for various project phases
  • Provide accurate forecasts and financial planning to optimize resource allocation
  • Collaborate with architects, project managers, and subcontractors to ensure project specifications and quality standards
  • Negotiate contracts, variations, and payment terms with clients and suppliers
  • Assess and manage project risks, adapting strategies to mitigate impacts on cost and schedule
  • Monitor project progress, conduct site visits, and ensure compliance with building regulations
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, materials, and technologies in joinery
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field
  • Proven experience in quantity surveying, with a focus on joinery or carpentry projects
  • Strong understanding of construction processes and technical drawings
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Attention to detail and strong analytical skills
