Role OverviewWe are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Asbestos Surveyor to join the team based in Basildon, Essex. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying and assessing asbestos-containing materials across a wide range of sites, ensuring compliance with current legislation and industry standards. The position requires accuracy, professionalism, and strong communication skills to maintain the company's excellent service record.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct Management, Refurbishment, and Demolition surveys in line with HSG
264 guidance - Identify and assess asbestos-containing materials accurately and efficiently
- Produce clear, detailed, and compliant survey reports
- Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and colleagues
- Manage workloads and meet project deadlines while maintaining high quality standards
- Keep up to date with all relevant asbestos regulations, HSE guidance, and best practice procedures
- BOHS P402 qualification (or equivalent)
- Proven experience working as an Asbestos Surveyor within a UKAS-accredited organisation
- Strong understanding of asbestos legislation and compliance requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Full UK driving licence
