We are looking for a Senior C++/Qt Software Developer with 7-10 years of experience and deep expertise in architecting and developing complex desktop applications using modern C++ (C++14/17) and Qt (Qt5/Qt6). The candidate should have a strong understanding of Qt principles / frameworks, Multithreading, and Networking, and performance‑critical systems along with excellent problem‑solving skills. You will contribute significantly to the modernization of Haefely’s next‑generation high‑voltage test and measurement platforms.

Candidate will work closely with our global R & D Team in Switzerland on developing and modernizing high‑voltage test and measurement software. The role involves collaboration with Domain Experts and offers the opportunity to influence software design decisions, coding standards, and engineering best practices across the product line to shape the next generation testing platforms.

• Minimum 7 to 10 years of experience in architecture & software programming – UI Framework, application design, implementation & testing reusable software components
• Expertise in modern C++ (C++14/17), including advanced concepts: memory management, multithreading, async programming, and performance optimization
• Strong experience with Qt (Qt5/Qt6), including Qt Widgets, QML, networking, and event‑driven programming
• Proven experience architecting UI frameworks, reusable components, and scalable application modules
• Hands‑on experience using Qt Creator and MS Visual Studio on Windows
• Hands‑on experience with building and maintaining software pipelines for CI/CD in line with modern build practices (Preferably Azure Dev Ops, Jenkins, or similar)
• Solid understanding of general software development practices, including version control (SVN, Git), Testing, and Debugging
• Experience using scripting language like Python, CMake
• Ensure delivery of high‑quality, well‑tested code in line with the Product Backlog and Sprint Goals
• Experience in Agile/ Scrum software development process
• Strong communication skills, fluency in English, ability to collaborate with global teams, and readiness to take ownership in high‑impact projects
• Familiarity with electrical engineering concepts is an advantage
• Experience with Automated Testing or UI Testing tools (e.g., Squish) is a plus

• Designing, optimizing, and modernizing components and modules using C++ and Qt with a focus on modularity, scalability and long‑term maintainability
• Leading and contributing to architectural discussions, system design, and technical roadmaps
