The Aircraft Paint Team Lead is responsible for guiding the daily operations of the aircraft paint team, ensuring all aircraft and components are prepared, painted, and finished to meet company standards, customer requirements, and regulatory compliance. Reporting to the Aircraft Paint Supervisor, you will coordinate workflow, assign tasks, enforce safety, and maintain high‑quality and efficient paint operations.
Responsibilities- Lead daily paint shop activities, including surface preparation, masking, priming, top coating, and detailing of aircraft and components.
- Assign tasks and monitor progress to meet production schedules and maintain quality standards.
- Ensure full compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements (OSHA, EPA, FAA, etc.).
- Support proper use of tools, materials, and personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Inspect work in progress and final results for quality and adherence to specifications.
- Coordinate with the Paint Supervisor on manpower planning, priorities, and workflow adjustments.
- Train, mentor, and support paint technicians and apprentices to enhance skills and productivity.
- Maintain accurate records of labor, materials, and job progress.
- Communicate effectively with other departments (Maintenance, Interiors, Quality, etc.) to ensure smooth aircraft flow.
- Troubleshoot paint or equipment issues and recommend process improvements.
- Ensure a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times.

- Minimum 2 years of experience in aircraft paint application.
- Strong knowledge of aircraft paint systems, detailing methods, touch‑up techniques, and sealant application.
- English proficiency minimum B1; additional languages are a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret paint schemes, technical drawings, and work instructions.
- Exceptional attention to detail with a focus on precision and quality.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage labor hours, schedules, and team performance.
