Implementation Workstream Lead (m/f/d) About the Role
A reputable client in the pharmaceutical industry is launching a major global initiative to transform customer engagement operations. As the Implementation Workstream Lead
, you will serve as the central orchestrator for the end‑to‑end rollout of a next‑generation customer engagement platform across multiple countries.
You will lead the Implementation Squads Workstream, own the integrated rollout strategy, and ensure affiliates are fully prepared for a seamless transition from build to go-live through hypercare.
This is a strategic and hands‑on leadership role requiring strong stakeholder management, matrix leadership, and the ability to drive execution across distributed teams.Key Responsibilities Program Leadership & Execution
- Own the successful execution of the deployment plan for assigned affiliates, ensuring timely delivery of all milestones from pre‑launch to hypercare exit.
- Lead and coordinate the local implementation squad, driving alignment, motivation, and effective issue resolution.
- Manage the integrated rollout strategy, sequencing, dependencies, and cross‑affiliate coordination.
- Oversee program‑level risks, issues, and dependencies, ensuring timely mitigation and escalation.
- Build strong partnerships with affiliate leadership, acting as their single point of contact and strategic advisor.
- Maintain clear, consistent communication between local teams and central program leadership.
- Represent local needs and challenges to central governance teams.
- Track and report business and technical readiness, ensuring all criteria are fulfilled for go‑live.
- Ensure business continuity planning and cutover activities minimize operational disruption.
- Align with training, communications, and IT work streams (e.g., Business Process, Change & Learning, Technology).
- Support delivery of local training and change management initiatives to drive user adoption.
- University degree in Business, IT, or a related field.
- 5–7 years of experience in large‑scale program deployment or hands‑on project management, ideally in complex technology implementations.
- experience in the pharmaceutical or similarly regulated industry strongly preferred.
- 3+ years of matrix leadership managing distributed teams without direct authority.
- Proven ability to resolve issues pragmatically (“roll‑up‑your‑sleeves” mindset).
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- experience supporting change management, training, and user adoption efforts.
- Fluency in English; additional European languages are an advantage.
- Willingness to travel internationally (approx. 20%).
- Start date: ASAP (latest mid‑April 2026)
- Duration: 2.5 years, with possible extension
- Workload: 100%
- Location: Basel region (hybrid: minimum 2 days onsite per week)
