Analytical Project Leader

Proclinical is seeking an Analytical Project Leader to join a motivated and experienced team within the Analytical Research & Development department. This role focuses on overseeing analytical development activities. You will play a key role in advancing analytical methodologies, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and contributing to the development of life-changing medicines.

• Develop phase-appropriate control strategies for drug substances and drug products.
• Collaborate effectively with stakeholders across various departments.
• Coordinate analytical activities, including generating physical and chemical data, developing and validating test methods, and ensuring thorough documentation and quality standards.
• Coach technicians and junior scientists on project work and act as a central point of contact for project-related information.
• Conduct work in compliance with cGMP, safety, and regulatory requirements.
• Supervise internal laboratory activities and/or testing activities at external partners (CLOs/CDMOs).
• Plan and document experiments and results independently, preparing for regulatory submissions such as IND and NDA.

• Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) in chemistry, pharmacy, or a related field.
• Expertise in peptide-focused analytical is essential for this role, including synthesis, purification, and characterization
• Professional experience in analytical development of drug substances and products, particularly peptides.
• Proficiency in analytical techniques such as HPLC, UPLC, and Mass Spectrometry for peptide analysis.
• Experience in developing and validating ICH-compliant analytical methods.
• Knowledge of peptide degradation pathways and stability studies, including forced degradation and impurity profiling.
• Strong attention to detail and a quality-focused mindset.
• Familiarity with digital tools and statistical analysis of analytical data.
• Open-minded, goal-oriented, and able to collaborate respectfully in dynamic environments.
• Excellent command of English.
