Analytical Project Leader

As an Analytical Project Leader, you will play a key role within the Analytical Research & Development department, an integral part of Synthetic Molecules Technical Development. The Analytical Project Leader leads analytical development activities for peptide and synthetic molecule projects from early development through commercialization. In this role, the Analytical Project Leader acts as the central analytical contact for projects, ensuring alignment between analytical strategy, regulatory requirements, and project timelines.

The Analytical Project Leader contributes to innovation while fostering collaboration, quality, and scientific rigor in a fast-paced development environment.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading analytical development activities for drug substances and drug products, including phase-appropriate control strategies
• Coordinating method development, validation, stability, and degradation studies in compliance with cGMP and ICH guidelines
• Collaborating closely with cross-functional stakeholders and supervising internal laboratories and external CDMOs/CLOs
• Coaching technicians and junior scientists while serving as the main analytical point of contact for project-related topics

Your profile:

• Master’s or Ph.D. in Chemistry, Pharmacy, or a related discipline
• Minimum 3 years of industry experience as an analytical project lead, preferably in peptide development
• Strong expertise in HPLC, UPLC, and Mass Spectrometry, as well as ICH-compliant analytical method development
• Structured, solution-oriented mindset with excellent collaboration and communication skills
• Fluent English is mandatory;
  German and experience with oligonucleotides or liquid formulations are considered a plus
