Director Medical Affairs

Job Description

• Build and execute the Global Medical strategy , including but not limited to the following deliverables :

• Manage engagement of global KOLs in the therapeutic area
• Give input to clinical studies (RWE, phase IV) as required
• Collaborate with the scientific / communication director to develop the communication strategy

• Scientific input to scientific publications

• Provide scientific input to the development and review of promotional material
• To be successful in his role, the (Senior) Director Medical Affairs

Will possess and continue to develop significant level of knowledge on lipidology and cardiometabolic

• Will develop productive relationships and contributions key opinion leaders and scientific societies
• Will develop productive relationships and contributions within the cross-functional headquarter team, as well as with local affiliate offices, and collaborative partners
• Will role model the highest scientific and ethical standards, and work in accordance with applicable rules and regulations with regards medical activities activities

Experience / Competencies

• Medical degree or PhD
• Relevant global medical affairs experience in the Pharmaceutical Industry (+7 years) including proven previous global launch
• Previous relevant experience (+5 years) in cardiometabolic / lipidology
• Demonstrated ability to build and execute strategic and tactical medical plans
• Experience and ability to engage with key external stakeholders

• Specialty in cardiology, lipidology, endocrinology

• Demonstrated ability to accurately and effectively evaluate and analyse medical / scientific literature
• Demonstrated excellent presentation and communication skills, capable of representing the company to all audiences both internally and externally, particularly in the context of collaborations at international conferences and scientific symposia
• Excellent organizational skills, be a self-motivated driver of best practices and processes in the management of projects and operations
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

• Good team-player, able to work effectively in a team setting and interact respectfully with people of different cultural, seniority and functional backgrounds
• Highly flexible and comfortable working in a fast paced and quickly changing environment
• Able to work well in a virtual environment. Proven self-management by showing initiative, good organization and willingness to be held accountable
