Revolution Medicines is a clinical-stage precision oncology company focused on developing novel targeted therapies to inhibit frontier targets in RAS-addicted cancers. The company’s R&D pipeline comprises RAS(ON) Inhibitors designed to suppress diverse oncogenic variants of RAS proteins, and RAS Companion Inhibitors for use in combination treatment strategies. As a new member of the Revolution Medicines team, you will join other outstanding Revolutionaries in a tireless commitment to patients with cancers harboring mutations in the RAS signaling pathway.
The Opportunity:The Senior Director, Head of FP&A, Europe will play a critical leadership role in building, scaling, and driving financial planning excellence across the European region as the company establishes its pre-commercial and launch-ready infrastructure. Reporting to the VP, Finance and Operations, Europe, this role will be responsible for designing the European FP&A framework and managing financial views, leading core planning and forecasting processes, enabling high-quality investment decisions, and developing a strong, empowered European finance organization in close partnership with Global Finance and regional leadership.
PrincipalResponsibilities Build the European FP&A Infrastructure
Design and implement a robust European FP&A operating model, aligned with global financial frameworks and adapted to regional and local market needs.
Design and own the European management P&L structures, ensuring clear visibility by region, country, function, and product, and enabling effective performance management and decision-making.
Lead the establishment and execution of annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and short-range sales forecasting processes for Europe in collaboration with European leadership.
Assume shared accountability for the European OpEx budget, including 6+ European legal entities and the regional office, ensuring transparency, consistency, and disciplined financial governance.
Partner closely with Global FP&A to implement harmonized planning processes, tools, and methodologies, balancing standardization with regional and local business requirements.
Serve as a key European lead on financial systems and planning tool implementations, including extensions of financial planning, reporting, and analytics platforms.
Oversee the financial review of Europe-related contracts, ensuring alignment with budget, forecasts, and internal control requirements.
Collaborate with Accounting to review monthly, quarterly, and annual management reporting, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and financial compliance.
Act as a strategic finance partner to European business leaders, enabling informed investment decisions through high-quality financial analysis, insights, and scenario modelling.
Analyze, interpret, and clearly communicate financial performance, trends, and risks to a wide range of stakeholders, adapting messaging from executive leadership to functional and affiliate leaders.
Provide business owners with regular Actuals vs. Budget / Forecast insights, highlighting risks, opportunities, and corrective actions to maximize return on investment.
Partner with the European Commercial & Analytics teams to contribute to European-specific market research analysis and insight generation.
Establish a strong, proactive partnership with the European Finance & Accounting Sr. Director to anticipate forecast deviations and manage financial risks.
Identify opportunities to increase efficiency, improve data quality, and continuously enhance FP&A processes as the organization scales.
Provide financial leadership and guidance on cross-functional and strategic initiatives, including launch readiness, market entry sequencing, and resource allocation.
Participate in European and Global projects as required.
Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing European FP&A team, fostering a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Partner with Europe-based General and Country Managers to ensure effective adoption of standardized management P&L structures and financial processes, while minimizing unnecessary localization.
Develop and deliver tailored financial and performance management training programs for European stakeholders to strengthen financial acumen and business decision-making.
Evaluate the mid- to long-term European business planning organizational structure, providing strategic recommendations to Global Finance Leadership as the company evolves from pre-commercial to launch and growth.
Serve as a visible and trusted finance leader within the European organization, promoting collaboration, transparency, and strong cross‑functional relationships.
