🤝Assignment via a specialist Life Sciences consulting firm in Switzerland — embedded at an international biopharmaceutical company. Full administrative support included. Candidates available immediately or on short notice are prioritised.

As part of industrial expansion projects at a leading international biopharmaceutical company, we are looking for an experienced Process Automation Engineer to join high-impact GMP projects on‑site in Stein.

You will be the key technical interface between Process, Manufacturing and Engineering — translating process requirements into robust, GMP‑compliant automation parameters and systems. A cross‑functional role at the heart of the industrial value chain.

Translate process into high‑performance automation:

• Gather process requirements from MSAT and Production teams
• DCS functional specifications Define control philosophies and
• Design control strategies, sequences and automation modules compliant with GMP standards

Integrate automation from design phase:

• Review P&IDs, 3D models and skid designs
• FS / detailed design phases Integrate automation requirements from
• CIP/SIP sequences Structure production recipes and
• Develop functional diagrams
• DCS – MES integration Support

Ensure robustness & performance:

• FAT / SAT / OFT strategies Define and execute
• Build automation function traceability matrices
• Support commissioning, qualification and start‑up
• Troubleshoot and optimise automation system performance

Required:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Automation, Process, Chemical or Industrial Engineering
• GMP environment — pharma, biotech or chemical 7 to 15 years of industrial automation experience in a
• Delta
  
  V, Siemens PCS7 or equivalent — non‑negotiable Hands‑on proficiency with a DCS platform:
• FAT / SAT / commissioning of automation systems Proven experience in
• P&IDs and process instrumentation Strong ability to read and interpret

Strong assets:

• MES integration Knowledge of recipe‑based logic and
• GAMP5 — a strong differentiator in this GMP environment Experience in qualification /
• German appreciated — facilitates day‑to‑day interactions on site
• Immediately available or on short notice — priority processing guaranteed
