Research manager for plant growth facilities and microscopy

Responsibilities

• Technical management of indoor and outdoor plant growth facilities.
• Instruction of students and group members in plant crossbreeding, cultivation and image‑based phenotypic measurement.
• Management of group‑owned microscopes with camera systems and training in their use.
• Close collaboration with group members in project design, data collection, analysis and teaching activities.

Qualifications

• MSc degree in plant sciences, evolutionary biology, environmental science or related fields.
• Practical experience in managing plant growth facilities, plant cultivation, microscopy, experimental design, statistical analysis and high‑throughput image analysis.
• Strong organizational skills, teamwork and commitment to a collegial and inclusive workplace.
• Good spoken English; knowledge of German desirable.
• Valid driver’s licence.
