We are seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Procurement Specialist with expertise in Company Carve-outs & Di vestments to join our Procurement team in Basel.
This role is critical in managing and optimizing procurement activities across key Indirect Procurement categories including Technology, Logistics, Professional Services, and MRO during and following carve-out activities. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring seamless procurement transitions, safeguarding supply continuity, driving cost efficiencies, and aligning procurement strategies with broader business objectives.
The position requires strong cross-functional collaboration, commercial acumen, and the ability to operate effectively in complex, fast-paced transformation environments.
Responsibilities Carve-out & Divestment Support- Lead and support procurement activities during carve-outs, including due diligence, separation planning, and execution.
- Ensure seamless transition of supplier contracts, systems, and services.
- Manage procurement work streams across divestment and post-separation stabilization phases.
- Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on cost, quality, service, and risk.
- Conduct market analysis to inform sourcing strategies.
- Build and maintain strong vendor relationships.
- Negotiate contracts and ensure supplier performance meets agreed standards.
- Draft, negotiate, and manage contracts in compliance with corporate policies and legal requirements.
- Identify and mitigate supplier, contractual, and operational risks.
- Ensure governance and compliance throughout the procurement lifecycle.
- Analyze indirect spend to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Drive value creation initiatives and process efficiencies.
- Support implementation of best practices within procurement.
- Partner with IT, Automation, Quality, MRO, Finance, Legal, and other stakeholders.
- Align procurement activities with strategic and carve-out objectives.
- Develop and maintain procurement performance metrics and reporting.
- 7–10 years of experience in indirect procurement.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience supporting carve-outs and divestments.
- Proven experience managing procurement work streams in complex business separations.
- Experience with in CDMO or regulated industry environments is advantageous.
- Strong expertise in strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, and supplier management.
- Excellent negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in procurement systems, ERP tools, and MS Office (especially Excel).
