Job Overview

Performs responsible semiskilled work maintaining the municipal golf course and related grounds facilities. Works under regular supervision and assists with clubhouse maintenance and general grounds tasks.

• Prepare, maintain, and mow course fairways, roughs, and greens; change pin locations and rake sand traps.
• Top dress and seed greens as needed; apply fertilizer and mulch to landscape beds.
• Assist with grounds improvement: lay sod, repair cart paths, and remove trash and dead plants.
• Trim and prune trees, palms, and shrubs using hand tools and electric-powered equipment; edge landscape beds and sand traps.
• Clean practice greens; keep course and clubhouse free of debris and maintain general housekeeping.
• Perform related tasks as required and use step or extension ladders safely when necessary.

Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent.

Licenses and Certifications
Valid Florida Driver’s License required.

Physical
Requires lifting 50 pounds occasionally, 20 pounds frequently, and 10 pounds constantly; stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and repetitive motions.

Mental
Vocal communication, hearing, and visual acuity needed for daily operations.

Exposed to extreme cold, extreme heat, noise, vibration, hazards, and atmospheric conditions inside and outside.
