The Operating Room Charge RN responsibilities include:

• Proficient in the care of a sub‑specialty group of patients utilizing effective managerial skills
• Acts as a professional role model for other members of the nursing team
• Responsible for professional accountability and development according to best practice standards set forth by a nationally recognized specialty organization
• Acts as a mentor and resource expert, supporting and sharing organizational information with all team members
• Performs the role of preceptor and charge nurse when assigned

We strongly prefer at least 2 years of Operating Room experience as an RN. Charge experience preferred. Board running experience preferred.

• Clinical skills appropriate to position
• Interpersonal skills

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• RN (Registered Nurse)
• ACLS (Cardiovascular) if required by department
• Preferred Nurse Specialty

• Bachelor’s Nursing or Bachelor’s Science in related field, or Associate’s Nursing and RN Certification in related field

• Required:
  
  2 years acute care experience or 2 years Interventional/Procedural
• Preferred: 1 year Interventional/Perioperative Internship
