Filler Operator

Peace River Citrus Products, Inc. – Clower Facility

The position ensures that product, packaging and process norms comply with quality and food safety standards for the company’s beverage base blending/packaging facility located in Bartow, FL. Reporting to the Production Supervisor, this position performs the function of filler machine to meet production requirements.

This job description is not an exhaustive list of all functions that the employee may be required to perform. Blending and packaging will be the back-up for this position.

• Responsible for set-up machinery and ensure all production materials are available
• Operate and monitor equipment and replenish materials as needed
• Visually inspect production run and document results
• Determine and report malfunctions to appropriate parties
• Maintain cleanliness of equipment and assigned area
• Must work closely with blenders, other filler operators, and packaging.
• Required to assist the quality lab with samples related to the blending process and be able to log them manually and/or electronically.
• All documentation must be accurate and done timely. Must follow GMP, Safety, SOP and HACCP procedures.
• Meets all “Good Manufacturing Practices”.
• Practices safety requirements established by OSHA and Peace River Citrus Products.
• Be available to work extended shifts and days.
• Any additional duties assigned by supervisor.

• Basic knowledge of computer functions on a keyboard
• Prefer forklift experience
• Past experience and / or good work history
• Attention to detail and familiarity with industrial equipment
• Excellent physical condition and coordination
• Valid certification to operate forklifts
• High school diploma or GED.
• Utilizes advanced skills of reading, writing, speaking, analytical capacity and high level of professional judgment to resolve problems affecting work areas.
• Applies communication skills to perform work and coordinate with others.
• Works with computers and other electronic communication devices; including programs to prepare documents or reports, as necessary.
• Ability to take prompt and appropriate response to operating conditions.
• Work with other department leadership & employees, including senior level management.
• Be flexible regarding duties, as directed by leadership.
