Logistics Clerk

Position:
Logistics Clerk – 2‑2‑3 Schedule (5 PM – 5 AM)

Peace River Citrus Products, Clower Facility, Bartow, FL 33830

The Logistics Clerk ensures that product, packaging and process norms comply with quality and food safety standards for Peace River Citrus Products’ beverage base blending/packaging facility. Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, this role coordinates the movement of product to designated customers. Attention to detail, computer proficiency and clear communication are essential.

• Follow standard operating procedures (SOP).
• Receive, track and deliver product on time to the correct location.
• Pull, pack and load product from one location to another.
• Operate forklift to unload freight into and out of the warehouse.
• Complete required paperwork and logs.
• Enter and update information in computer applications.
• Operate truck scale for tanker receipts.
• Assist other shipping personnel and quality assurance to obtain samples, segregate product, and rework product.
• Assist in hold and customer complaint process.
• Create and complete required paperwork, reports, and logs.
• Perform physical count of inventory, reconcile actual stock count, and resolve discrepancies.
• Perform physical inventory audits.
• Complete inventory transactions in WMS.
• Provide inventory reports to the supervisor.
• Maintain inventory system.
• Create and verify the accuracy and availability of all products and documentation.
• Ensure that correct security procedures are observed for incoming & outgoing product.
• Properly prepare necessary documentation for all shipments and receipts.
• Adhere to regulatory & Peace River Citrus Products procedures.
• Interact with representatives of common carriers and railroads.
• Act as backup forklift operator and relieve for breaks.
• Consolidate product as needed.
• Use a forklift safely and operate it in tight spaces.
• Work in various storage areas, including cooler and freezer.
• Train other operators.
• Meet all “Good Manufacturing Practices”.
• Practice safety requirements established by OSHA and Peace River Citrus Products.
• Comply with FDA, USDA, and GMP policies. Perform all tasks in a safe manner to meet quality, food safety, and cost objectives. Comply with all standard operating procedures and requirements under PRCP Quality System.
• Participate in the quality improvement process.
• Maintain work areas in a clean and orderly manner.
• Be available to work extended shifts and days.
• Any additional duties assigned by the supervisor.

• High school diploma or GED.
• Average knowledge of computer functions on a keyboard and computer systems.
• Accuracy and quality of work is a priority.
• 3+ years’ experience in inventory control, shipping, or logistics related field, excluding forklift.
• 3+ years’ experience driving a sit‑down electric forklift.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English fluently.
• Attention to detail and familiarity with industrial equipment.
• Excellent physical condition and coordination.
• Good visual and hearing ability, including depth perception.
• Ability to move on and off the forklift repeatedly.
• Capable of lifting 50 pounds.
• 3+ years’ experience using RF scanning equipment.
• 3+ years’ experience using Warehouse Management Systems.
• Valid certification to operate forklifts or ability to obtain one.
• Utilizes advanced skills of reading, writing, speaking, analytical capacity and high level of professional judgment to resolve problems affecting the work area.
• Applies communication skills to perform work and coordinate with others.
• Works with computers and other electronic communication devices; includes programs to prepare documents or reports, as necessary.
• Ability to take prompt and appropriate response to operating conditions.
• Ability to work in various storage areas with extreme temperature ranges.
• Work with other department leadership & employees, including senior level management.
• Be flexible regarding duties, as directed by leadership.
