A rapidly growing pharmaceutical manufacturing organization and FDA-registered 503B outsourcing facility is seeking an experienced Vice President of Sales to lead its commercial organization through the next phase of expansion. The organization operates a state-of-the-art sterile manufacturing facility and is committed to delivering high-quality, compliant, and innovative sterile products to healthcare organizations nationwide. With strong industry expertise and a focus on patient safety and supply reliability, the company serves as a trusted partner to healthcare providers.
PositionSummary
The Vice President of Sales is a key executive responsible for building, developing, and executing the company s sales strategy across all markets. This leader will drive new business development, grow existing accounts, and oversee the sales team focused on delivering exceptional value to hospital systems, surgical centers, and healthcare distributors.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with organizational goals and market opportunities.
- Lead, mentor, and expand a high-performing sales team.
- Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities across hospitals, health systems, pharmacies, and distribution networks.
- Build strong relationships with key accounts, decision-makers, and industry stakeholders.
- Oversee sales forecasting, pipeline development, pricing strategies, and performance metrics.
- Partner closely with Marketing, Operations, Quality, and Executive Leadership to align customer needs with company capabilities.
- Monitor industry trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory developments relevant to pharmaceutical manufacturing and 503B outsourcing.
- Represent the organization at conferences, trade shows, and customer engagements.
- Ensure the sales organization operates in compliance with FDA, cGMP, and 503B regulatory expectations where applicable.
- Bachelor s degree in Business, Marketing, Life Sciences, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- 15+ years of progressive sales leadership experience in the pharmaceutical industry, including at least 5 years in a senior executive role.
- Strong understanding of sterile manufacturing, 503B outsourcing, hospital pharmacy operations, or related markets.
- Proven track record of driving revenue growth and building high-performing sales teams.
- Exceptional strategic planning, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Experience working in or selling into highly regulated environments.
- Ability to travel as needed to support national sales initiatives.
- Executive-level presence with strong decision-making capabilities.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to execute tactically.
- Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
