Woodard & Curran is growing, and we are looking for qualified Wastewater Collection Systems Operators in Bartow, FL. Our Operators participate in the operations and maintenance of our Wastewater Collection System and/or Wastewater Pumping Stations, which may include odor control systems, STEP systems, Vacuum Sewer Stations, and Grinder Pumps. You may also operate water and/or wastewater treatment plant equipment in a support role.

You will perform skilled, journeyman-level work in monitoring, repairing and controlling the functioning of pump station and plant equipment and processes.

Regularly participates in the daily operations and maintenance of the Water and Wastewater Treatment Systems as directed by the Project Manager. Participates in an on-call rotation on weekends, holidays and outside normal workday hours. Will be required to respond to emergencies or unpredicted situations.

• Experience working in a sewer collections or water distribution environment preferred.
• A valid State of Florida motor vehicle operator's license.
• A Water Distribution Operator or Waste Collections license preferred.
• Working knowledge of the principles, procedures, methods, equipment, materials, and tools employed in the operation and maintenance of Wastewater Treatment and Collection Systems.
• Thorough knowledge of the hazards and safety precautions involved in sewer collections and water distribution.
• Knowledge of computer applications.
• Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds on a regular basis.

Pay range: $22 - $34 an hour. Pay range depends upon experience and certification.
