We are looking for qualified Wastewater Collection Systems Operators in Bartow, FL.

Job Title:

Wastewater Collection Systems Operator. This role involves participation in the operations and maintenance of our wastewater collection system and/or wastewater pumping stations, including odor control systems, STEP systems, vacuum sewer stations, and grinder pumps. You may also operate water and/or wastewater treatment plant equipment in a support role.

• Perform daily operations and maintenance of Water and Wastewater Treatment Systems as directed by the Project Manager.
• Monitor, repair, and control the functioning of pump station and plant equipment and processes.
• Participate in an on‑call rotation on weekends, holidays, and outside normal workday hours. Respond to emergencies or unpredicted situations.

• Experience working in a sewer collections or water distribution environment preferred.
• A valid State of Florida motor vehicle operator's license.
• A Water Distribution Operator or Waste Collections license preferred.
• Working knowledge of the principles, procedures, methods, equipment, materials, and tools employed in the operation and maintenance of Wastewater Treatment and Collection Systems.
• Thorough knowledge of the hazards and safety precautions involved in sewer collections and water distribution.
• Knowledge of computer applications.
• Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds on a regular basis.

$22 – $34 an hour. Pay range depends on experience and certification.
