As a Driver, you will support Cos Mic Plants from a driving perspective to move product between our two locations and to make retail and wholesale deliveries to our target markets within the GTA. In this role, you will ensure cargo is being transported in a safe and timely manner, following company standards and traffic laws.

When you are not making deliveries, you will fulfill your duties and responsibilities in greenhouse work and packing at our Bartlett Road location.

• Uphold Cos Mic Plants’ values and company culture in all relationships (staff, vendors, customers, and industry colleagues).
• Operate and drive primarily a Hino straight-body truck, Ford Transit, or Mercedes Sprinter to transport products and materials between greenhouses and various customer locations.
• Provide strong customer service to all customers you interact with while making deliveries.
• Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspection of vehicle systems, equipment, and accessories such as tires, lights, turning signals, and brakes.
• Ensure cargo is secured properly in accordance with safety requirements and follow safety procedures for transporting product.
• Ensure thorough collection of signatures upon delivery, as required.
• Communicate with the Logistics and Warehouse Manager regarding deliveries and the state of the vehicles you operate.

• Uphold Cos Mic Plants’ quality image.
• Sort orchids in various categories.
• Apply labels, UPCs, and care tags.
• Apply upgrades (pots, accessories, sleeves).
• Pack product in boxes and trays.
• Load pallets and carts.
• Load and unload vehicles.
• Help with warehouse tasks such as filling trays with pottery, box making, palletizing boxed product, moving pallets into the correct places, and providing packing staff with materials.
• Safely operate the forklift, electric pallet jack, and any other machinery used for transporting materials within the warehouse.
• Ensure all tasks are performed efficiently, timely, and in order of priority.
• Adhere to Cos Mic Plants Health and Safety policies.

• Clean Drivers Abstract (Mandatory).
• Completed Secondary School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
• Ability to lift at least 25 lbs.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Fluent in the English language (verbally and in writing).
• Attention to detail, with an appreciation for organization, neatness, and clear record-keeping.
• G Class License.
