Responsibilities- Demonstrate extensive knowledge or significant experience in pharmacy procedures such as automated dispensing cabinet (ADC) optimization, sterile products compounding, terminal cleaning, inventory management, controlled substance management, and/or surgery pharmacy.
- Accurately fill and label medication orders with correct strength, dosage form, and quantity in a timely manner.
- Accurately stock and maintain ADCs; clean ADCs; destock expired medications from ADCs.
- Check medication rooms and patient bins for discontinued or expired medications and return them to pharmacy.
- Fill/refill emergency crash carts, boxes, and kits timely and accurately.
- Assist in performing various duties as assigned.
- Assist in dispensing functions, including purchasing, inventory control of all drug classes, sterile product preparation, and associated equipment maintenance.
- Maintain pharmaceutical dispensing functions for all patient populations, including neonate, child, adolescent, adult, and geriatric, inpatients and outpatients.
- Education:
High school graduate or equivalent. - Experience:
4 years of hospital pharmacy experience. - Certifications:
- Registered Pharmacy Technician license or Pharmacy Technician certification, as required by state law.
- Accredited training in sterile products preparation and IV admixture certification.
