The Village of Bartlett, IL is a progressive, growing community located
35 miles west of downtown Chicago in Cook,DuPageand Kane Counties. The Public Works Department is seeking an experienced
Senior Maintenance Workerforwatersystemmaintenanceand repairs, working in the Water Division.
This position is responsible for operation, construction, maintenance,repairand installation of Village water system facilities including the emergency back-up wells, booster station, pressure adjustment stations, water storage facilities, the water distribution system, fire hydrants,andwater meter system.
This position is responsible forthe operation of excavation equipment, specialized equipment and related tools and machinery.
The position reports to the Water Supervisor.
Thevillage isseekinga team-oriented professional withstrongeffective interpersonalcommunicationskills,and the ability to perform skilled duties relating to watersystemmaintenance,operations and repairs,to include extensive experience with heavy equipment operations.
Mustpossessa Valid Class “B” Commercial Driver’sLicense.
Applicants must be able to perform strenuous physical activity in an outdoor environment andliftupto
50lbs,work inwaterpump stationswithexposure to noise and electrical hazards.
If selected,completion of apre-employment physical(including alcohol and drug test) isrequiredandemployee issubject to random drug testing per DOT requirements.
The Senior Maintenance Workeris aunion,non-exempt position.
