• Open and close the store in the absence of store management, including all required systems start‑ups, required cash handling, and ensuring the floor and stock room are ready for the business day.
• Complete product returns, order voids, customer refunds, cash drops to the safe, and provide change as requested to cash registers.
• Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
• Engage customers by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services, resolving issues and answering questions to ensure a positive experience.
• Model and share customer service best practices with all team members, including interpersonal habits, greeting, eye contact, courtesy, and Walgreens service traits.
• Hold store keys to open and close without management as necessary and assist staff with the warehouse and vendor ordering process.
• Register all related sales on assigned cash register, maintain accurate records of scanning errors, price verifications, items not on file, price modifications, and voids.
• Assist manager or assistant store manager in reviewing order exceptions and reverse logistics, evaluating and developing displays, including promotional, seasonal and sales merchandise.
• Maintain accurate inventory counts, ensuring on‑hand quantities are correct for basic departments, stockroom, and overstock locations.
• Assist with the Outdate program and basic department pricing; make daily price changes and ensure signage is accurate.
• Assist with bookkeeping activities, including cash report, cash counts, ledgers, and bill payment.
• Assist with exterior and interior maintenance; request repairs as needed.
• Separate food items as specified by policies (raw meats on bottom shelves, FIFO method for consumables).
• Assist at Pharmacy out window as requested and ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products.
• Check bags of team members before leaving the store.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures and maintain respectful relationships with coworkers.
• Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned.

• Attend training and complete PPLs requested by Manager.

• Serve as a liaison between management and non‑management team members by communicating assigned tasks when store management is not present.
• Report disciplinary issues and customer complaints to management.

• One year of prior leadership, supervisory, or retail key holder work experience.
• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).

• Knowledge of store inventory control.
• Will consider employment of qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records.
• Hold or maintain valid PTCB certification or pharmacy license as required by state.
