Sr Plant Manager

The Sr. Plant Manager is responsible for leading day-to-day operations of the plant from production and manufacturing to ensuring policies and procedures are followed at the floor level. The position oversees production, schedule, and assigns work based on business’ needs. The Sr. Plant Manager serves as an ambassador to drive continuous improvement in the areas of safety, quality, operational efficiency, and consumer satisfaction.

This position oversees multiple facilities and the entire production leadership team. The role serves as a collaborator with cross‑functional leaders and manages & represents safety and compliance.

• Must have strong passion for shop floor and be field oriented, hands‑on approach.
• Be production processes oriented, provide leadership to production managers and ensures they have the proper tools to perform their job safely and efficiently, along with providing mentorship.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to optimize operations and boost productivity.
• Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with other departments to align operational activities with business goals.
• Prepares and reviews production, safety, and quality reports.
• Plans capital projects, long‑range strategic planning, and succession planning.
• Promotes Lean Manufacturing concepts and leads the plant with Rana Meal Solutions vision.
• Responsible for manufacturing facility’s Capital and operating budgets.
• Implement strategies in alignment with strategic initiatives and provide a clear sense of direction and focus.
• Ensure that the quality of the product meets specifications and adheres to the quality systems, processes, and procedures.
• Establish and monitor performance metrics, taking corrective action as necessary to ensure operational objectives are met.
• Manage P&L, developing and implementing strategies to maximize profitability.
• Establishes and implements improvements for cost reduction, quality assurance, and production.
• Understanding and lead with RCA CAPA & CI mindset, enabling production team to execute and resolve.
• Lead meetings with leadership team as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• 10+ years’ work experience in food manufacturing environment
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Ops Management, Food Science, Engineering, or similar academic disciplines preferred.
• Ability to read/interpret documents, write routine reports/correspondence, and calculate figures/amounts.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer‑based applications
• Strong time management and multi‑tasking abilities
• Strong knowledge of OSHA, FDA, USDA, GMP and HACCP Regulations and Principles
• Strong leadership qualities, including the ability to communicate effectively at the plant floor level with line employees.
• Ability to work flexible hours including occasional weekend hours in support of plant operations.
• Trilingual (Spanish, Italian, and English) preferred.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is subject to standing for prolonged periods; frequently walks, grasps, lifts, holds, or feels objects; occasionally stoops, kneels, crouches, or crawls. The employee often is required to use manual and finger dexterity and eye‑hand coordination when working and handling products, computers, or machinery. The employee may be subject to assist and support up to 50 pounds with varying amounts of assistance on an as‑needed basis.

The employee could have work conditions that are cold or hot. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. The physical demands described here represent those that an employee must meet to perform the essential functions of this job successfully.

Salary:
Starting at $190,000 Annually
