This position is for our annual spring outage.
Candidates are responsible for erecting and dismantling scaffolds for buildings and structures.
Responsibilities- Must provide your own tools
- Must clean and prepare work sites, including removing debris and materials in the immediate area.
- Loading/Unloading and inventory of scaffolding
- Ensure a stable base for scaffold
- Erect scaffold poles
- Fixing scaffolding to buildings or structures
- Laying planks for workers to walk on
- Fixing guard rails and safety netting
- Dismantling scaffolding when a project is complete
- Creating different kinds of platforms, from simple scaffolding to complex structures such as suspended scaffolding, cantilever drops and temporary roofs
- 1-2 years or more experience in the erection and dismantling of various types of scaffolds.
- Bilingual is a plus
- Certifications are a plus
- Must be able to work at elevated heights
- Must be able to work in extreme conditions
- Must be physically able to perform heavy lifting
- Must be able to communicate well with others
- Must be able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions in writing, verbal, and/or diagram form
- Possess trade-specific hand tools
- Operate trade-specific hand and power tools
