Overview
This position is responsible for the overall renovation, maintenance, plumbing, and electrical components of the assigned building and grounds. The Maintenance Supervisor is also responsible for assisting with the effective and efficient operations on assigned shift or in assigned section as required by the reporting senior including, but not limited to: providing training and guidance to newly hired staff, and serving as a professional resource to co-workers.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent required
- Two years of experience in a maintenance position required.
- Gaming, Hospitality, or Customer Service industry preferred.
- Technical school or formal apprenticeship is preferred.
- Certification in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry preferred.
- Required to pass a pre-employment drug screening and obtain and maintain a gaming license issued from the Osage Nation.
- Required to maintain a valid Driver’s License.
- Required to provide documents to show the applicant is eligible to work in the United States.
- Osage, Native American, and Veteran preference shall apply to all positions at Osage Casinos.

COMMUNICATION:
- Makes efforts to keep informed of company information and communications by reviewing property bulletin boards, digital signage, and company newsletter.
- Conducts at least bi-weekly One-on-One meetings with direct reports, soliciting input from employees.
- On an individual basis or in a group format, explains why, shares information, and communicates the purpose of decisions to applicable staff.
- Ensures company information provided by management is effectively communicated.
DEPARTMENT OPERATIONS:
- Supervises maintenance and repairs of heating, cooling, electrical, television, plumbing and telephone systems.
- Assists with emergency situations as needed.
- Responsible for oversight of operation of life safety systems, maintenance and repair in public areas and guest rooms.
- Works with Facilities Manager in coordinating projects and scheduling work.
- Takes a leadership role in reporting and correcting unsafe work practices or unsafe facility conditions.
- Troubleshoots and takes corrective action to ensure structural, electrical, plumbing, HVAC and refrigeration operate as needed.
- Supervises general maintenance, HVAC issues, and repair of minor problems throughout the Casino as directed by immediate supervisor.
- Completes inventory of required equipment and supplies and prepares requisitions for replacements as necessary.
- Operates company vehicles as required.
- Operates lawn and other equipment as needed.
- Conducts and oversees preventive maintenance on all equipment as assigned.
- Performs and oversees emergency maintenance on systems and equipment as required.
- Conducts and oversees carpentry-related projects as assigned.
- Performs and oversees framing, dry wall installation, drywall finishing, acoustic ceiling installation, finish carpentry,
- Performs and oversees preventive maintenance and repair duties on all building mechanical systems, energy management equipment, equipment and tools.
- May assist assigned staff with accurate preparation of detailed daily, weekly, and monthly operating reports as required by the reporting senior.
- Ensures newly assigned staff members are scheduled for and complete departmental orientation.
- Responsible for the selection and performance evaluation of all assigned staff. May discipline and/or terminate employees within the area of responsibility, as necessary, and in accordance with authority. May recommend employees for recognition or reward.
- Provides job specific training to all newly hired employees or those assigned to mentor so they may perform their duties in accordance with acceptable job standards.
- Visits work spaces, break areas and other work shifts in order to be available and/or visible to staff members with the express purpose of showing interest, concern, or appreciation.
