Head Cashier – Full-Time Permanent (Hall Lake Gas Bar, Hall Lake, SK)

OPEN COMPETITION The Keethanow Group of Businesses Department is now accepting applications for the following:
Full‑Time Permanent Position based out of Hall Lake Gas Bar in Hall Lake, SK:
Head Cashier.

The suitable candidate will be able to perform the following duties:

• Overseeing salespeople, cashiers, shelf stockers, and other employees;
• Demonstrate experience in supervisory capacity at a retail store, or similar;
• Evaluating the supply and availability of stocks, and wastage;
• Monitoring shelve stocks and product displays, and the general appearance of the store;
• Investigating market trends and offering products that would appeal to customers;
• Addressing customer’s requests, comments, and complaints;
• Motivating employees to achieve targets;
• Training new staff members and assist with scheduling shifts;
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Greet customers entering establishment.
• Oversee the store’s front‑end with respect to loss‑prevention.
• Maintain clean and orderly checkout areas.
• Process/inspect merchandise returns and exchanges.
• Receive payment by cash, check, credit cards.
• Assist/listen to customers.

The suitable candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• Must have High school diploma, GED or equivalent;
• Must have 1‑year experience in retail environment and be familiar with cash outs, invoicing, inventory, coding and proven track record of excellent customer relationship skills;
• Strong interpersonal skills in dealing with employees and customers;
• Proficiency with spreadsheet and word processing software;
• Ability to manage multiple tasks with varying levels of priority;
• A combination of education and experience may be considered;
• MUST provide a satisfactory Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check.
