The Sales Associate is responsible for sales generation and delivering a positive customer experience. The Sales Associate will also handle a variety of operational duties as assigned by the store management team (e.g., housekeeping duties, visual presentation standards, etc.).

Reports To: Store Management

• Greeting customers immediately upon entering with a smile and sincere non-business-like greeting.
• Creating a positive first impression through an energetic attitude and adherence to dress code.
• Maintaining a sparkling clean and organized environment by adhering to store standards and cleanliness.
• Providing customers with current relevant information about the product.
• Providing quality service in fitting rooms, following up with customers promptly, maintaining cash wrap cleanliness, and attempting to add on to the sale.
• Providing efficient service at the cash wrap, offering gift cards, maintaining cash wrap cleanliness, and capturing customer information in the database.
• Sincerely thanking all customers for shopping at GUESS as they exit the store.

• Completing all duties as assigned by management satisfactorily.
• Being punctual and adhering to the designated work schedule.
• Working well with peers and management to accomplish duties.
• Following GUESS policies and procedures 100%.
• Performing housekeeping duties as required.

• Meeting or exceeding sales per hour (SPH) results as assigned by management.

• Participating in store meetings and other related functions.
• Representing a positive attitude toward merchandise and the company.
• Participating in all inventories.
• Assuming and completing other duties as assigned by store management.
• Performing heavy lifting in excess of 30 pounds and standing for a minimum of eight hours during scheduled shifts.

• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Previous retail experience preferred.
• Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Physical stamina: walking, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and balancing on a frequent basis.
