This is a continuous recruitment for an applicant pool to fill part-time (up to 67%), substitute, temporary, or hourly assignments on an as needed basis.
Departments will refer to the pool of applications on file, as needed, to fill temporary assignments. This recruitment may be used to fill future vacancies.
ASSIGNMENTApplications for Part-Time Instructors are always being accepted for assignments at the main campus as well as teaching online and at off‑campus sites located at Fort Irwin. Assignments are at the discretion of the District.
Minimum QualificationsMaster's in speech, speech broadcasting, telecommunications, rhetoric, communication, communication studies, speech communication or organizational communication
OR Bachelor’s in any of the above AND Master’s in drama/theater arts, mass communication or English OR the equivalent.
- Demonstrated sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse, academic, socio-economic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students.
- Demonstrated proficiency in teaching at the community college level.
All coursework and degrees must be from a regionally accredited college or university.

Certain combinations of education, experience, and other accomplishments in the field may be judged by the District as equal to the stated minimum qualifications for this position.
