We are a global player seeking an experienced Printed Packaging Sales executive based in Germany or Holland to sell Printed Packaging into the Films/Music/Multi Media, Cosmetics, Toiletries & Personal Care sectors.
A customer‑facing role responsible for developing business in new markets and, where appropriate, growing market share in existing markets. The role involves developing the sales strategy to ensure the business is most effective in achieving targets for business growth and revenue across the Print & Packaging offering and seeking opportunities for creative services.
The Sales Executive will establish and direct an effective sales function across allocated countries and markets to achieve sales revenue and implement the sales strategy. Global coordination of sales activities will provide global solutions for the customer.
Accountabilities- Drive business development activities in the allocated countries; take responsibility for all commercial aspects of successful pitches and implementation.
- Undertake activity in other markets when appropriate.
- Lead or support business development activities and assist with incremental growth opportunities with existing clients.
- Identify and pursue opportunities to develop the service offering.
- Deliver target and budget numbers with agreed levels of profitability.
- Develop and lead new business activity to grow revenue in line with annualised budgets and strategic business plans.
- Ensure inclusion on RFQ activities to achieve sales targets and growth expectations.
- Achieve sales targets ensuring EBITDA and turnover targets are met.
- Maintain agreed gross profit ratios for all new and existing business; review customer gross profit performance every six months and recommend actions.
- Manage set‑up costs and budgets effectively and efficiently; ensure sound commercial use of resources.
- Develop customer relationships to grow our value proposition and service offering.
- Assist in developing the company value proposition.
- Sell our full value proposition and service offering to all major customer targets.
- Lead and implement Key Account Strategy and Key Account Plans (KAP) for defined accounts; ensure plans are reviewed every six months.
- Provide leadership to the Sales and customer services team, ensuring disciplines such as customer visits, contact reports and internal review meetings are performed at agreed frequency.
- Ensure the Sales and Business Development organisation remains fully abreast of the organisation's global technical capabilities.
- Maintain awareness of developments in sales techniques and technology to keep the company competitive.
- Develop and control budgets to ensure all financial targets are met and all financial controls comply with company and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor competitive landscape to maintain competitive position.
- Co‑ordinate activities with the Sales Director to maximise value.
- Report activity each month to the Sales Director; keep account information up to date in the CRM system (currently Sales Force).
- Extensive experience in RFQ processes across consumer markets.
- Proven ability to create, develop and manage multi‑level customer relationships.
- Track record in new business pitches, account management and customer care.
- Understanding/experience of artwork and pre‑press workflows for packaging.
- Relevant experience and client relationships in the Consumer Packaged Goods industry with a track record of selling at senior level.
- Strong customer‑facing skills – presenting professionally and knowledgeably.
- Strong negotiating skills and experience.
