Automotive Technician, Automotive Mechanic
A Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification (or equivalent), with proven technical, electrical, and diagnostic experience. A customer‑focused approach and a full UK driving licence are required.
As a Roadside Technician within the Patrol division, you will deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK. You will troubleshoot a range of issues such as flat batteries, tyre changes, and complex fault‑finding, providing quick, confident solutions and reassurance when members need it most. You will start and end your day at home, tackling challenges head‑on and making a real impact on the roadside by combining technical expertise with outstanding member service.
We will provide you with an RAC van, fuel card, full uniform, essential tools, and diagnostic kit. RAC has a legacy of over 125 years, combining heritage with innovation. This role offers a rewarding, fast‑paced, and varied career in roadside automotive services. No CV is required for application.
