Do you speak Welsh confidently and enjoy supporting children in their learning? We work closely with welcoming and supportive primary schools across Barry and the Vale, who are looking for enthusiastic Welsh-speaking Teaching Assistants to join their teams this January.

You'll support pupils in developing their skills through the Welsh language while gaining valuable classroom experience. No formal qualifications are required — just a positive attitude, reliability, and a genuine passion for helping children succeed.
Your Responsibilities- Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and interactive lessons
- Provide one-to-one and small-group support through the Welsh language
- Assist with preparing activities, learning materials, and classroom resources
- Encourage pupils to build confidence and develop key skills
- Help supervise pupils during lessons, activities, and break times
- Confident Welsh speaker (spoken and written)
- Friendly, patient, and enthusiastic approach
- Proactive and willing to get involved
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Experience working with children (desirable but not essential)
