Location: Barry, Vale of Galmorgan

Employment Type: Temporary (13 Weeks)

Start Date: 12 January 2026

Hours: 37 hours per week

Work Pattern: Hybrid – 2 days remote, 3 days office-based

Salary:

  • PAYE: £13.90 per hour
  • Umbrella: £18.00 per hour

Are you an organised and proactive Technical Support Officer with experience in property or technical services? Network Recruitment Wales is seeking a Technical Support Officer (Property) to support the Resources >
Financial Services directorate based in Barry. This 13-week temporary assignment has arisen due to a vacancy pending permanent recruitment and offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to essential property and technical support functions within a local authority setting.

What You’ll Do:
  • Provide technical and administrative support to the Property function, ensuring services run efficiently and effectively.
  • Assist with property-related processes, records, and documentation in line with organisational procedures.
  • Support officers and managers with data management, reporting, and coordination of activities.
  • Liaise with internal teams, contractors, and external stakeholders as required.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant policies, confidentiality requirements, and statutory obligations.
What We’re Looking For:
  • Experience in a technical support, property, or administrative role within a public sector or similar environment.
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Good IT skills and confidence using systems to maintain accurate records and reports.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • The ability to work independently as well as part of a team within a hybrid working model.
Essential Requirements:
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
  • Signed Confidentiality Agreement.
  • Criminal Convictions Declaration.
  • A minimum of 2 years’ references/work history.
