Salary: Starting from £14,527 – £23,493 per annum dependent on age, with annual progression through the scheme duration
What you’ll be doing :- Working from planned drawings to install, terminate and test all electrical equipment within a Submarine environment.
- Develop competence in the fabrication and fitting of a variety of cable supports, penetrations and the installation of electrical equipment using different types of resilience mounts.
- Crimping and termination are an important part of this role where attention to detail and the ability to produce defect‑free work is essential.
- Opportunity to work on a variety of electrical systems e.g. lighting, fire detection and communication systems.
- Use a variety of hand tools, specialist components and equipment in nuclear reactors and services electrical testing environments.

England and Wales
Age 16+5+ GCSEs grade A*-C / 9-4, including English and Maths, as well as a Science subject for engineering or technical roles.
Please note:
some of our trade roles require 5+ GCSEs grade A*-E / 9-.
Scotland:
5 National 4’s at Grade C or above, including English, Maths (excluding Application of Maths) & Science/Technical. 5 Group awards at National 4 including English and Maths (excluding Application of Maths) & Science or Technical subject.
Some roles may also require additional qualifications or UCAS points.
What is the application process?The stages of our application process include: a short online application. If you’re successful, you'll then complete an online assessment with interactive activities, and an on‑demand video interview. The next stage is competency‑based interview, either virtual or face‑to‑face.

Export Control/SecurityPlease be aware that many roles at BAE Systems are subject to both security and export control restrictions. These restrictions mean that factors such as your nationality, any nationalities you may have previously held, and your place of birth can restrict the roles you are eligible to perform within the organisation. All applicants must as a minimum achieve Baseline Personnel Security Standard.
Many roles also require higher levels of National Security Vetting where applicants must typically have 5 to 10 years of continuous residency in the UK depending on the vetting level required for the role, to allow for meaningful security vetting checks.
