Mental Health Support Worker – Northern Healthcare (Glen Garth Service, Barrow‑In‑Furness)

Good News! We’re paying more than ever. With the National Minimum Wage recently raised to £12.21, we’ve increased our starting wage to £13.00 per hour at our Glen Garth Service. You will also receive enhanced overtime rates of £15.00 per hour

What You’ll Do – Every Day is Different!
  • Provide cooking and meal preparation support
  • Assist with medication and appointment management
  • Help with budgeting and household management
  • Explore the local community and encourage new hobbies and skills
  • Offer emotional support during tough times

We start you off with a structured induction and buddy programme, virtual learning platforms, and full training in Care Certificate, First Aid, Behaviour Support, NVQs in Health & Social Care (Levels 2–5), and Leadership & Business qualifications.

What We’re Looking For
  • Warm, people‑first attitude
  • Ideally some experience in care or a Level 2/3 Health & Social Care qualification, or experience caring for a loved one or individual with complex needs
  • Two references covering the past 3 years (including previous roles supporting vulnerable adults)
  • Enhanced DBS check (cost covered by us)
