About the RoleAn excellent opportunity has arisen for a Principal Engineer – Stealth (Finite Element Analysis) within the Stealth Numerical Modelling Team. You will be joining the Stealth Engineering Department as a key contributor to the structural design and stealth performance of the UK’s next‑generation submarines, working as part of a small, high‑impact team to reduce signatures through advanced simulation and analysis.
In this role you will provide technical leadership and oversight to less senior engineers, delivering technical advice and resourcing support across multiple submarine programmes. You’ll engage with specialists across the department, the MoD and partner organisations, and you will work on projects that influence real‑world designs.
We offer relocation support packages across all Submarines roles, subject to meeting eligibility criteria. BAE Systems welcomes people from all backgrounds; if you have a disability or health condition that may affect your performance in certain assessment types, please speak to your recruiter about reasonable adjustments.
Many roles at BAE Systems are subject to security and export control restrictions. Applicants must achieve the baseline personnel security standard, and many roles require higher levels of national security vetting with residency requirements in the UK.
