Straight-line Group are seeking an experienced Site Supervisor to oversee groundworks on single carriageway projects in Barrow-in-Furness.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise day-to-day site operations and groundworks activities
- Ensure works are carried out safely, efficiently, and to specification
- Manage site operatives and subcontractors
- Maintain high standards of health & safety and site compliance
- Liaise with project managers, clients, and other stakeholders
- Oversee works on live carriageways, including public-facing environments
- SSSTS or SMSTS certification (essential)
- Proven experience supervising groundworks projects
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Confident managing works on public and private roads
- Ability to enforce health & safety standards consistently
- Competitive hourly rate (£250 - £300 per day depending on experience)
- Long-term contract (6-7 months)
- Immediate start on an active project
