Equipment Operator

As an Equipment Operator for the Fencing and Noise Wall division, you are responsible for the execution of the daily work plan per the direction of the site supervisor. Job duties include but are not limited to the following:

• Maintaining a clean and safe worksite.
• Conducting daily pre-operational inspections on equipment and tools.
• Cleaning, lubricating, and refilling equipment as required, and notifying shop of regular maintenance and repair requirements.
• Operating various heavy equipment per job and manufacturer requirements including skid steers, excavators, mobile cranes, etc.
• Operating various power tools and equipment per job requirements.
• Ensuring all activities are carried out with due regard to personal safety, and the safety of others.
• Following instructions from site supervisor and assist in completing various administrative duties as required.
• Complying with all company policies and procedures and participating in the health and safety program.

• $25-$35 per hour based on experience
• 40-50 hours per week

• Minimum of 5+ years experience operating various sizes of heavy equipment including excavators, skid steers, etc.
• Knowledge of equipment maintenance and conducting proper pre-use inspections.
• Valid class G drivers’ license and clean drivers abstract.
• Trench awareness and confined space entry.
• Have a professional, courteous, and respectful attitude towards all customers, suppliers, and all employees.
• Able to work in various working conditions (outdoor, off-site locations, etc.)
• Hoisting and rigging, digging foundations, and back filling experience considered an asset.
