About the Role:

As a CBRE Fire & Security Officer, you will be responsible for the fire and security operations of small to medium‑sized buildings, building systems, and equipment. This role focuses on the physical security and fire safety of an organization or other physical assets.

What You’ll Do:
  • Oversee building operations involving fire safety, alarm systems, and emergency response planning.
  • Develop and implement fire and security policies, protocols, and procedures to ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
  • Act as the point of contact for ongoing communication with Building Services staff about site operations and collaborate with department managers to determine security needs.
  • Investigate, report, and maintain records of security‑related incidents on the property, including fires, alarms, and other emergencies.
  • Prepare maintenance schedules for fire and security equipment, including fire extinguishers, sprinkler systems, and alarm systems.
  • Protect the organization and clients from damage and loss by providing training on fire safety, emergency response, and first aid.
  • Consult with human resources on issues related to security personnel and control budgets for fire and security operations.
  • Gather intelligence on potential security threats and implement preventative measures to mitigate risks.
  • Stay up‑to‑date with innovative technologies and advancements in fire and security services.
  • Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values.
  • Apply knowledge of own discipline and how own discipline integrates with others to achieve team and departmental objectives.
