We are currently seeking a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) and Registered Nurse (RN) to provide ongoing care to a paediatric client requiring complex medical support in the Barrie and Muskoka area.

• Provide direct nursing care in accordance with the client’s individualized care plan and within the scope of practice for an RPN or RN.
• Deliver personal care and support with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including hygiene assistance and medication administration.
• Monitor and assess the client’s physical, medical, and emotional status, reporting changes as required.
• Support safe mobility, positioning, transfers, and prescribed exercises.
• Use medical equipment safely and appropriately, ensuring client safety at all times.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and thorough clinical documentation.
• Communicate effectively with care coordinators, families, and the Melodia clinical team.
• Practice in compliance with professional standards, policies, and clinical guidelines.

Candidates must have experience in complex paediatric care, including:

• G-tube and J-tube feeding
• Oxygen therapy
• Seizure monitoring and management

• Tracheostomy care
• Invasive and non-invasive ventilation
• Cough assist
• Deep, oral, and nasal suctioning

• Active registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO).
• Valid RPN Certificate (for RPN applicants).
• Negative TB test completed within the past 12 months.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification

• Valid Criminal Record Check (completed within the last year).
• WHMIS 2015 certification

• COVID-19 vaccination documentation (subject to exemptions under the Ontario Human Rights Code).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Sound clinical judgment and strong attention to detail.
• Access to a reliable vehicle and valid driver’s licence is an asset but not required.
• Competitive hourly rates

• RPN: $38 – $40.25/hour
• RN: $45 – $50.75/hour
