Starting Date: End of March to April
Training: First 3 months at the company’s Vancouver facility
Probation: 3 months
Work HoursInitial start‑up phase: 9:00 am – 5:30 pm. Transition to two‑line system will use two‑shift rotation:
Early Shift 5:30 am – 2:00 pm, Late Shift 2:00 pm – 10:30 pm. Production Manager will most likely be assigned to the early shift.
Each shift includes a 30‑minute meal break and a 20‑minute paid coffee break.
Compensation & BenefitsSalary: $60,000–$65,000 / yr (DOE)
Benefits: Group insurance from day 1 (extended health, dental, vision care, prescription drugs)
MainJob Duties
- Work directly on the production floor, providing hands‑on support while ensuring safety, ethical, and operational procedures are followed
- Actively monitor daily production activities, identify issues in real time, and step in to resolve them quickly
- Inspect, test, and evaluate manufacturing equipment to ensure safe operation and minimize downtime
- Perform regular quality checks on in‑process and finished products, ensuring all items meet required quality and industry standards before release or shipment
- Lead and motivate team members through direct involvement, maintaining productivity while upholding high production standards
- Assist with production work when staffing levels require support, including filling in for factory workers as needed
- Create and manage daily and weekly work schedules, track attendance, and ensure consistent staffing and punctuality
- Maintain hands‑on oversight of materials, supplies, and equipment, ensuring everything needed for production is available on time
- Coordinate closely with the Shipping Department to prepare finished products for timely shipment
- Serve as the primary point of contact between production staff and management, communicating issues, progress, and improvement opportunities
- Keep accurate records of employee performance, equipment usage, production output, and supplies for management review
- Contribute to production planning and scheduling, adjusting plans as needed to meet deadlines and operational demands
- Take on additional production or supervisory duties as required to support team success
- Legally entitled to work in Canada – no visa support provided by the employer
- High School diploma or equivalent; post‑secondary education (Associate degree) an asset
- 1–2 years of relevant experience in production, warehouse, or manufacturing operations
- Valid forklift license
- Experience with basic machine maintenance and mechanical work
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to guide and relate to team members
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety; must be safety‑conscious
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Time‑management skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Physically fit, able to lift up to 50 lbs, and capable of standing or moving for extended periods
- Able to work weekends (Saturday/Sunday) if required
